Cyberbully

Cyberbullying is when a bully decides to threaten, harass, or humiliate someone in messages through the Internet such as posting photos of someone and making cruel comments, spreading rumors about someone with text messages, signing in as someone else to hurt his or her reputation in a chat room, re-sending and spreading emails to other people, and many more. Cyber bullies do this because they’re angry and they don’t know how to control it, or maybe because they’re bored. Another reason may be because they just want to have fun, but that’s not funny, no matter how you do it.

The biggest problem with cyber bullying is the fact that is easy to do. You can send messages hurting other people without anyone knowing it was you.

What to do?

1.      Tell someone: Speak up until you find someone who can help you with this problem. The best one is your parents. You can talk too with your guidance counselor, if you’re too afraid to talk to your parents.

2.      Walk Away: Knowing that you can step away from the computer or turn off your phone allows you to keep things in perspective and focusing on good things in life. Ignoring your bullies is the best way to take away their powers.

3.      Report it to the service provider: Socially sites takes it seriously when people bully hurt another person or when they make a fake account. If someone is bothering you just block it or report it to the service provider.

4.      Save evidence of the bully if you can: It can help you prove your case, if needed.

5.      And, Be Safe Online: Protect your password. Think before you post something personal that you don’t want the world to see. Remember, when you posted something, you can’t deny it and you can’t delete it.

Are you a Bully? Answer these questions.

1.      Do you make fun of people because of how they look or their grades?
2.      Do you use physical force to get your way?
3.      Are you trying to make fun of someone because your insecure or maybe want to laugh?
4.      Are people afraid of you when you pass around them?

If you answer these questions, YOU ARE A BULLY. But don’t be sad now that you know your problem. Now that you know that you have these kind of problem try to control your anger or your way to get attention and be nice. You’ll never know when you’re the next victim.
