Make a Change

I can, I care, I change

Earth

Earth: Pollution and our Big Promise to the World.

As you know, Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into a natural environment that causes instability, disorder, harm or discomfort to the ecosystem, physical systems or living organisms

§  Air pollution: the release of chemicals and particulates into the atmosphere, such as carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide (chlorofluorocarburus). If we keep contaminating our air, what are we going to breathe in the future?

§  Light pollution: includes light trespass, astronomical interference, or the most used, the over illumination. So many people, like me, sit on their roof and look the sky, specially, the moon and the stars. What chances do we have in the future if we continue over illuminating the sky?
§  Littering: the criminal throwing of inappropriate man-made objects, un-removed, onto public and private properties. We all want our country or state clean, and when it’s not, we judge it. We are the ones who are fouling the area. Why not stand up and clean it?
§  Noise pollution: noise in a specific area, such as roadway nosie or industrial noise. We got to take a break of artificial noises and listen calmly to the sound of nature.
§  Soil contamination occurs when chemicals are released intentionally, by spill or underground leakage. Think about this, the water that we see is the water of tomorrow.
§  Radioactive contamination: is the use of negative nuclear powers or radioactive ones. Why are we risking our health lifes? Stand up and make a change! Say to the president that you would not like to have these radioactive powers in your country because it could affect out health.
§  Thermal pollution: is a temperature change in natural water bodies caused by human influence.
§  Visual pollution: which can refer to the presence of overhead power lines, motorway billboards, scarred landforms (as from strip mining), open storage of trash or municipal solid waste.
§  Water pollution: is like a waste of water or when a person contaminates a river or a lake. Think about the sea animals, that we loved so much, what are we doing to help them? Stand up and don’t let another oil spill take our water and the animals that lived there.

Some people don’t the consequences that this many types of pollution have. And they, obviously, don’t know or haven’t thought about the consequences that this pollution may affect our health. This could bring us diseases like, cancer, asthma, infections, allergies, and many more. It could affect our products on our houses and, the pesticides would damage our fruits and vegetables if we plant some.

We have to start acting before it’s too late. Am I overreacting? No! Check Out This!

Since 1986, the ozone layer has been extending and extending till now, 2011. This means that before, the ozone layer was too small to be a problem, and people didn’t thought that, in the life of now, it would be a bad situation. Why? The ozone layer protects us from the ultraviolet rays of the sun. If we allow that layer to keep braking and keep extending the hole that is making, the ultraviolet rays will enter through the hole, it will cause us serious damage in our health, like leukemia, or suffocation (we can’t stand in the sun for too long because is too hot for us to support). This is what we called the greenhouse gases.

We have to make a change if we want the world to be a better place. Its difficult but is not impossible. Stand up and example to all the people that are doing things wrong. Stand up and make the world better thinking of the kids of the future, the next generation.
